We’re a mother–daughter duo who believe skincare is an essential part of overall wellness—not a luxury, fad, or trend.
‘Dr. Mom’ is a medical doctor (GP) who grew up in Soviet Armenia, where skincare wasn’t taught—but she figured it out anyway. From homemade yogurt masks to natural remedies for infections, she approached wellness through a holistic lens, long before it was popular. Access to Western information was limited, but she managed to get her hands on smuggled medical journals and skincare advice passed through the Iron Curtain. Prevention was always her philosophy: take care of what you have now, so you don’t have to fix it later.
Her daughter, Margarit, was a different story. While she’s now a licensed esthetician, Margarit didn’t care about skincare until her 30s. After a sun-soaked trip to Thailand left her skin in rough shape, Dr. Mom was not pleased. The “I don’t care about aging because I’m a meditation teacher” phase ended fast. What began with a bit of Botox and a basic routine slowly turned into a full-blown obsession with ingredients, treatments, and—most importantly—results. Today, Margarit approaches skincare the way she approached her two Masters degrees—-with curiosity, focus, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
During the pandemic, the two began experimenting with skincare products, gadgets, and routines. A seed was planted. Today, Dr. Mom Skincare is the result of that shared passion and a commitment to bring real skin health to others.
We’ve come a long way since homemade yogurt masks.
And now, we’re sharing what we’ve learned with you.
We’re here to teach, to treat, and to help you care for your skin the way it deserves—with intention, simplicity, and a little motherly (tough) love.
